Season 2 · Polar Storm
Enter your Virus Resistance (VR) to see which Season 2 Polar Storm targets you can challenge at full damage: dig-site Stronghold Bosses, Doom Elites, and Zombies. The tool also covers rally planning with the leader VR rule and the Doom Walker suggested power check, and every table marks whether a value is verified in game or estimated.

Virus Resistance is the Season 2 gate on the mutated beasts that guard Stronghold dig sites, along with Doom Elites and Zombies. The mechanic works the same way as Season 1: every infected target lists a Virus Resistance requirement, and when your squad is below it, the virus mechanic reduces the damage you deal. Each 1% you fall short of the requirement costs roughly 2% of your damage, so a near miss is still an expensive fight — the calculator models that damage penalty for every level.
Season 2 dig-site bosses are mutated polar beasts. SH dig Tier N spawns a Level 10×N monster, and the beast's name tells you its troop type before you commit a squad: the Mutated Mammoth is a Tank, the Mutant Gorilla is Aircraft, and the Mutated Bear is a Missile creature. Any of the three can appear at every tier, so check the name and bring the counter squad for the ±20% type advantage.
| SH dig tier | Monster level | Required VR | Boss power |
|---|---|---|---|
| SH Tier 1 | Lv 10 | 3,500 | 11.83M |
| SH Tier 2 | Lv 20 | 6,000 | 14.30M |
| SH Tier 3 | Lv 30 | 8,000 | 17.91M |
| SH Tier 4 | Lv 40 | 9,500 | 23.04M |
| SH Tier 5 | Lv 50 | 10,000 | 25.96M |
| SH Tier 6 | Lv 60 | 10,500 | 28.83M |
Boss values above are verified in game. Doom Walker levels use suggested power only — Walkers have no Virus Resistance requirement in Season 2.
Doom Elites and Zombies also gate on Virus Resistance in Season 2. Their curves below are community estimates, not confirmed in-game values — the calculator marks every one of these rows as Estimated. Use the Reference Tables tab for the full level-by-level list.

The Season 2 dig-site boss requirements and power values are verified in game by players and cross-checked against community Season 2 tables. The Doom Elite and Zombie curves are placeholder extrapolations, so treat every Estimated row as a rough planning value rather than a confirmed requirement.
Doom Walker suggested power is verified at levels 110 through 190 (Lv 110 3.40M, Lv 130 9.00M, Lv 150 16.98M, Lv 160 21.45M, Lv 170 26.40M, Lv 180 29.97M, Lv 190 34.31M); unverified levels in between are linearly interpolated. When a Doom Elite or Zombie call is close — within a level or two of your full-damage ceiling — scout it or send a cheap probe before committing a main squad. In-game values always outrank this tool.
Start with Quick Check: enter the Virus Resistance shown on your account and the cards show the highest dig-site boss tier, Doom Elite level, and Zombie level where the model applies no resistance penalty. Boss cards show the SH tier directly, for example “SH Tier 3” for a Level 30 monster.
For a single squad attack, open Zombie Solo and enter the level, enemy type, your squad type, and squad power in millions. The result combines the modeled VR damage penalty with the aircraft, tank, and missile counter cycle, so a borderline target is easier to judge.
For alliance content, Rally Planner applies the leader's VR to all five slots — per the rally rules, the rally lead's resistance governs the whole group, so the highest-VR member should initiate. Pick which mutated beast spawned so the tool can score each member's troop type against it, and it will flag when a member's own VR is high enough that they should lead instead. Doom Walker stays a separate, power-only check for the five rally slots.
Dig-site bosses, Doom Elites, and Zombies all list a Virus Resistance requirement in Season 2 Polar Storm. Doom Walkers do not — their info panel shows a suggested power threshold only, so use the Walker mode for those rallies.
SH Tier 1 needs 3,500 VR, Tier 2 needs 6,000, Tier 3 needs 8,000, Tier 4 needs 9,500, Tier 5 needs 10,000, and the cap at SH Tier 6 is 10,500 Virus Resistance. Each tier spawns a Level 10×N mutated beast.
The beast name reveals its troop type: the Mutated Mammoth is a Tank (counter with Aircraft), the Mutant Gorilla is Aircraft (counter with Missile), and the Mutated Bear is Missile (counter with Tank). Counters deal 20% more damage.
No. Doom Walkers are power-gated only: each rally member must meet the suggested power for the Walker level, and Virus Resistance plays no role in that fight.
The Doom Elite and Zombie resistance curves are community placeholder values that have not been verified in game yet. Use them for rough planning, and confirm close calls with an in-game probe before risking a main squad.
Season 2 requirements cap at 10,500 Virus Resistance — the top dig-site boss tier, and the estimated Doom Elite and Zombie curves reach the same cap at their highest levels.
The rally leader's Virus Resistance applies to the whole rally, so the highest-VR member should initiate. The Rally Planner applies the leader VR to all five slots and flags when another member should lead instead.
No. It is a free community planning tool that organizes Season 2 Polar Storm reference values into quick checks, solo assessments, rally planning, and reference tables.
