What is Virus Resistance in Last War?

Virus Resistance is a Season 1, Crimson Plague combat stat in Last War: Survival. Every infected target has a resistance requirement. When your squad is below that requirement, the virus mechanic can reduce the damage you deal, so the right target is not always the highest level your squad power can reach.

This Last War Virus Resistance Calculator compares your current VR with the listed requirements for Stronghold Bosses, Doom Elites, and Zombies. It gives you a quick readiness benchmark before you spend stamina, send troops, or ask alliance members to join a rally.

In practical terms, Virus Resistance answers a different question from squad power. Power tells you how much strength your squad brings to a fight; VR tells you whether the virus mechanic will reduce that strength against the selected enemy. Checking both lets you avoid the frustrating situation where a squad looks powerful enough on paper but performs poorly because it is below the target's resistance requirement.

How to use the Last War Virus Resistance Calculator

Start by entering the Virus Resistance shown on your account. You can type a value, move the slider, or choose a quick value. The Quick Check cards then show the highest Boss, Doom Elite, and Zombie level where the calculator models no VR damage penalty.

For one specific infected target, open Zombie Solo and enter the Zombie level, enemy type, your squad type, squad power, and VR. The result combines the modeled VR penalty with the aircraft, tank, and missile counter cycle, so it is more useful than looking at resistance alone. Use it when deciding which squad should take a solo zombie or whether a troop-type disadvantage makes the attempt too risky.

For alliance content, use Rally Planner to enter up to five power slots and the resistance of each member. The planner applies the leader's VR to the rally output, compares troop types against a Stronghold Boss, and flags when another submitted member has higher VR and may be the better rally lead. Doom Walker is a separate check: enter the Walker level and compare each member's suggested power. Doom Walkers use power thresholds in this tool, not Virus Resistance. Finally, open Reference Tables when you need every level requirement or want to distinguish verified values from estimated planning values.

Quick Check for daily target selection

Use Quick Check when you only need to know the highest Boss, Doom Elite, or Zombie level that matches your current Virus Resistance. It is the fastest way to set a sensible daily target and gives you a full-damage ceiling for each enemy category. Check squad power before you attack.

Zombie Solo for one squad versus one target

Zombie Solo is for the moment when a level is already on the map and you need a better answer than “my VR is close enough.” Enter the target level and, when you know it, its troop type. The calculator shows the modeled damage percentage, effective power, VR penalty, and a broad loss band. Use the troop counter to see whether a borderline target is worth the troops.

Rally Planner for Stronghold Bosses and Doom Elites

Rally Planner is designed for the decision before a five-member rally launches. Add the target, leader resistance, member power, member VR, and squad type. The page turns that information into estimated output and clear go, caution, or stop signals, including a prompt when another member may be the better leader.

Doom Walker for power-only planning

Doom Walker is intentionally separate from the Virus Resistance tools. Choose the Walker level and enter the five member powers to compare each slot with the suggested threshold. This gives rally organizers a simple power-only attendance check.

How this calculator helps players

Use the result to choose a realistic target, decide whether a Virus Research Institute upgrade is worth prioritizing, and avoid sending a weak squad into a high-resistance fight. Rally leaders can also use the five-slot view to spot a resistance gap before the attack starts.

For alliance leaders, the planning value is coordination. Members can report their current power and VR before the launch window, while the leader can compare the group against the same target. If a member with stronger VR is available, switching the lead can improve the projected output without asking anyone to make an immediate upgrade. It is useful for fast calls in alliance chat and longer-term Season 1 progression planning.

Treat the output as a planning benchmark, not a guaranteed battle prediction. Squad power, heroes, buffs, troop counters, enemy composition, and rally coordination can still change the result. Some reference rows are marked Estimated so you can tell where the data is a planning approximation.

Read the result as a planning benchmark

You can still use the calculator for a target above the full-damage level. The fight-specific modes show how much of a VR penalty the model applies, which is more useful than a simple yes-or-no answer. Compare that penalty with your effective power and troop matchup, then make a conscious decision about whether the likely losses are acceptable for the reward.

The reference tables label rows as Verified or Estimated. Use estimated values as directional guidance and always treat in-game combat information as the final authority when requirements or results change.

Virus Resistance Calculator FAQ

What does a full-damage level mean?

It is the highest listed target whose required Virus Resistance is at or below your current VR, so this tool applies no modeled resistance penalty. It is a useful resistance threshold, not a promise that your squad can defeat the target.

Does higher Virus Resistance guarantee a win?

No. VR removes one important damage constraint, but it does not replace squad power, hero strength, troop counters, or alliance coordination.

Can I attack a target above my full-damage level?

Yes, but expect a modeled damage penalty when your VR is below the listed requirement. Use Zombie Solo or Rally Planner to see that penalty alongside power and troop-type information before committing troops.

Why does Rally Planner focus on the leader's VR?

The planner uses the selected leader resistance for its rally calculation and keeps each member's submitted VR visible so it can flag a potentially stronger leader. Enter the values for the actual rally plan, rather than assuming every member receives the same benefit.

Why is Doom Walker not included in Quick Check?

Doom Walker uses its own suggested power check in this calculator. Keeping it in a separate mode avoids confusing a power threshold with the Virus Resistance requirements used for Bosses, Doom Elites, and Zombies.

Is this an official Last War calculator?

No. It is a free community planning tool that organizes the current reference values into quick checks, solo assessments, rally planning, and tables.
