Best Last War Survival Guide: Season 3 Week 2 Complete Walkthrough, Tips & Strategies
A complete Last War Survival Season 3 Week 2 guide covering Golden Realm objectives, Desert Treasure rewards, Return of the Dead defense, Trade War posts, Golden Egg taxes, and the revamped Engineer Profession.
Last War Survival Season 3 Week 2 expands the Golden Realm with more alliance objectives, reward events, trade post battles, and a much more tactical Engineer Profession. The week rewards alliances that coordinate territory growth, event timing, garrison defense, and contaminated-land movement.
Use this walkthrough to prioritize the systems that matter most: keep Oasis Project and Archaeology progress moving, clear Desert Treasure boards efficiently, defend the Alliance Center during Return of the Dead, contest high-level Trade Posts, and turn Engineer skills into real battlefield value.
Key takeaways
- Golden Realm progress still depends on steady Oasis Project expansion and Archaeology donations, so do not let weekly objectives sit idle.
- Desert Treasure is worth pushing because vaults can provide Mithril, Universal Exclusive Weapon Shards, speed-ups, and strong resource chests.
- Return of the Dead punishes passive defense; rotate damaged teams before they are wiped and keep strong players online for the full 30 waves.
- Trade Posts can be attacked from nearby Contaminated Land without adjacent territory, and captured posts can generate Golden Egg diamond tax rewards.
- Engineer skills such as Contaminated Land Teleport, Fragile Spell, Sandstorm, and Sand's Protection can decide Trade War and Alliance Center fights.
Part 1: Keep Golden Realm Objectives Moving
Before chasing the major Week 2 events, make sure your Golden Realm basics are active. Oasis Project, also called Greening the Land, uses recon planes to convert desert tiles into green land. Expansion must connect back to an unlocked city, so random isolated tiles will not help your alliance map control.
Archaeology is the other weekly foundation. Keep donating coins into the project because server-wide progress unlocks broader rewards over time. These systems are not flashy, but they create the route and reward base that lets the rest of Week 2 work.
- Send recon planes to green land connected to an unlocked city.
- Coordinate expansion outward instead of scattering disconnected tiles.
- Donate coins to Archaeology so server rewards continue unlocking.

Part 2: Clear Desert Treasure Boards for Vault Rewards
Desert Treasure is a Week 2 mini-game built around a grid of stone bricks. Use Archaeologist Hammers to smash bricks, reveal hidden relics, and complete the required relic set on each board. Once the board requirement is complete, you unlock a vault with high-value season rewards.
The best rewards include Mithril for seasonal building upgrades, Universal Exclusive Weapon Shards, speed-ups, and high-level resource chests. If you run out of Archaeologist Hammers while stuck on a board, check the Desert Bazaar and spend event currency on more hammers so you can finish boards instead of leaving vault rewards unclaimed.
- Use Archaeologist Hammers to reveal relics under the stone grid.
- Finish each board's relic requirement before moving your attention elsewhere.
- Buy extra hammers from the Desert Bazaar when a nearly finished board is blocked.

Part 3: Defend the Alliance Center in Return of the Dead
Return of the Dead should feel familiar if you played earlier Last War seasons, but Season 3 scaling gets much harsher as your alliance moves closer to the Capitol. The event runs on Tuesdays and Fridays, sending Zombie Bosses from uncaptured cities toward your Alliance Center.
There are 30 waves total, with a new wave spawning every minute. Do not treat this as a set-and-forget defense. Your strongest active players should be online, watching garrison health, and manually rotating damaged teams out before they are wiped. A wiped team can expose the Alliance Center to heavy damage.
Capitol-side waves are especially dangerous. In the final waves, marches below roughly 35 to 40 million power can be completely wiped, so leadership should plan who holds garrison slots before the pressure peaks.
- Have active high-power players online for the full 30-minute wave window.
- Pull damaged teams out of the garrison and replace them with full-health teams.
- Expect much harder scaling near the Capitol and plan final-wave defense accordingly.
Part 4: Win Trade War Posts and Use the Golden Egg Tax
Trade Posts open at 12:00 server time except on Wednesdays and Saturdays, which remain standard War Days. Each post works like an independent store where players can spend Diamonds on premium items. Higher-level posts carry better inventory, so Level 5 Trade Posts are especially valuable.
A Level 5 Trade Post can offer items such as Oil, Weapon Shards, Alliance Compasses, and Trap Landmine Refills. The key capture trick is that you do not need adjacent alliance territory. Teleport onto the Contaminated Land around the Trade Post, then attack from there. This also allows aggressive alliances to fight for Trade Posts in other Warzones.
Captured posts have a hidden economic upside. When players spend Diamonds at your post, part of that spending is stored as tax. Once the items sell out or the post is abandoned or reset, the tax becomes a Golden Egg. The Trade Post Governor, usually the Alliance Leader, can share that diamond value in alliance chat.
- Prioritize high-level Trade Posts because their stores carry stronger items.
- Use nearby Contaminated Land as the launch point instead of waiting for adjacent territory.
- Track Golden Egg tax value so captured Trade Posts benefit the alliance after purchases are made.
| Trade War target | Why it matters | Practical move |
|---|---|---|
| Level 5 Trade Post | Unlocks premium inventory such as Oil, Weapon Shards, Alliance Compasses, and Trap Landmine Refills | Coordinate a strong capture team and protect the post long enough for alliance members to buy |
| Contaminated Land around the post | Allows attacks without adjacent territory and can enable cross-Warzone captures | Teleport onto the contaminated tiles before launching Trade Post attacks |
| Golden Egg tax | Converts Diamond spending at your captured post into shareable alliance value | Have leadership monitor post status and share the egg once tax is released |

Part 5: Use the Engineer Profession as a Combat Tool
Season 3 turns Engineer from a mostly passive building and farming class into a real tactical support profession. In Week 2, the strongest Engineer value comes from movement, base durability pressure, area control, and defensive fighting around alliance structures.
Contaminated Land Teleport grants one free advanced teleport for Contaminated Land every 47.5 hours. That saves 1,500 Diamonds and is perfect for joining Trade War fights without burning a normal teleport. Fragile Spell is the major offensive skill: when your Desert Protectors attack and defeat an enemy base, the target base's maximum durability is permanently reduced, such as from 10,000 to 5,000.
Sandstorm creates a 9-by-9 area for 10 minutes that slows enemy marches by 20 percent. Place it around Trade Posts or the Alliance Center to buy time for reinforcements. Sand's Protection improves hero defense while fighting within Alliance Center range, and Truck Expansion increases the Iron, Food, and Coins carried by trucks by up to 25 percent, including special seasonal trucks.
- Save Contaminated Land Teleport for Trade War positioning or urgent contaminated-land fights.
- Use Desert Protectors when trying to trigger Fragile Spell against enemy bases.
- Drop Sandstorm around contested objectives to slow incoming enemy marches.
- Fight within Alliance Center range when Sand's Protection can improve defensive value.
- Take Truck Expansion seriously if your account relies on truck economy and seasonal hauls.

Final Season 3 Week 2 Strategy
Season 3 Week 2 is less about one isolated event and more about alliance coordination across several systems. Golden Realm objectives feed map progress, Desert Treasure feeds seasonal materials, Return of the Dead tests defensive discipline, Trade War rewards fast positioning, and Engineer skills decide whether your alliance can control contested ground.
The simple plan is this: keep Oasis Project and Archaeology moving, spend hammers until Desert Treasure vaults are claimed, rotate garrisons during Return of the Dead, use Contaminated Land to contest Level 5 Trade Posts, and make Engineers actively support the fight instead of sitting as passive builders.
- Do the weekly Golden Realm basics before they become a progress bottleneck.
- Treat Return of the Dead as an active defense event, not an offline garrison check.
- Use Trade War and Engineer skills together for the biggest Week 2 advantage.
