What is the Last War Research Tree Tracker?
The Last War Research Tree Tracker is an interactive research map and manual progress planner for Last War: Survival. Instead of keeping a separate checklist of Tech Center upgrades, you can record completed levels directly on a visual tree and return to that record when planning your next research goal.
The tool covers 18 trees across strategy and support, combat and squads, and advanced research. Select a node to inspect its next-level requirements, documented research costs, and available time data. Some nodes also include community priority tiers and strategy notes. Your tree completion percentages update as you enter levels, making it easier to see what you have finished and what still needs attention.
How to use the Last War research planner
Choose a research tree or search for a node
Select a tree from the sidebar, or use the tree selector on a smaller screen. If you already know the upgrade you want to review, search by its name. Search checks nodes across all trees, not just the one currently open.
Record the level you have in the game
Click a node and enter its current level, or use the plus and minus buttons. Choose “Mark as maxed” for a fully completed node. Enter actual completed research, rather than a target level, so the progress overview remains a useful record.
Review prerequisites and next-level costs
Open the details for an upgrade you are considering. Compare its listed prerequisite levels with your recorded progress, then review the gold, food, iron, Valor badges, or oil costs where documented. Check Tech Center requirements in the game before spending resources; the tracker does not know your building level.
Compare the next upgrade with the remaining investment
Use “Total remaining to max” to review the documented costs and research time for the unfinished levels of that node. This helps distinguish a single-level upgrade from a longer commitment. Missing data is not zero, and these totals may be partial.
Save a backup before changing devices
Changes are saved locally in your browser. Use “Export backup” to download a JSON file, then “Import backup” to restore it in another browser. Importing replaces the progress currently saved there after confirmation, so export that record first if you want to keep it.
How research planning helps Last War players
Find unfinished prerequisites before you commit
A desired upgrade may depend on several earlier research levels. The visual connections help you navigate related nodes, while the selected node’s details show the requirements listed for its next level. Keeping your record current makes it easier to spot an earlier upgrade that still needs work.
Budget resources for a specific research goal
Before spending Valor badges or other resources, compare the next-level cost with the documented cost to finish that node. Use those figures as a reference when deciding whether to fund one upgrade now or keep saving. The tool does not track your inventory or calculate a guaranteed cheapest research path.
Keep long-term progress visible
Per-tree percentages and the overall level count give you a consistent record when switching between research goals. Completion measures recorded levels, not combat power, resource spending, or time invested: two levels can have very different costs even though each adds one to the total.
Use research priorities as a starting point
Where available, S–D priority tiers and community notes provide another perspective on an upgrade. They are editorial suggestions, not a personalized Last War research guide. Choose priorities that fit your squad, current unlocks, and available resources rather than treating every S-tier label as your mandatory next step.
Last War research tracker FAQ
Does this tool sync with my Last War account?
No. This is a manual tracker and does not connect to your game account. Update a node after completing research in the game. Recording a level here does not start an upgrade or spend any in-game resources.
Is this a research time calculator with speed bonuses?
No. The tracker displays documented base research time where available; it does not apply your research speed bonuses, alliance help, or speedups. Use the in-game timer for your actual duration. Remaining time only sums the available records, so incomplete source data can leave part of the time uncounted.
What does “Check requirements” mean?
At least one condition cannot be verified from your recorded research alone. For example, a Tech Center level or another external requirement may need checking in the game. The label does not confirm that an upgrade is available or unavailable. You can still record a level you have already completed.
Are all research costs and priorities verified?
No. The tracker uses unverified community data, which may be incomplete or outdated. “Not listed” means a value is unknown, not that research is free. Priority tiers are community opinions and are not present for every node. Always confirm important costs and unlock conditions in Last War before committing resources.
Will my research progress stay saved?
Your record stays in local storage for this browser on this device, provided browser storage is available. Clearing site data or ending a private browsing session can remove it. There is no automatic cross-device sync, so keep an exported backup for recovery or a manual transfer.
