How Hero Awakening works
Unlock requirements before shard spending matters
Before a hero can awaken, that hero must already be at 5 stars and their exclusive weapon must be level 20 or higher. Once both prerequisites are met, you spend 50 named awakening shards to unlock the awakening itself.
Why the first star costs more than it looks
The first awakening star is not just four tiers of 20 shards. It also includes the unlock step. That means going from no awakening at all to 1-star awakening takes 130 total shards, not 80.

Use it when you are deciding whether to finish an awakening milestone now, save for a larger breakpoint, or compare the cost of pushing one priority hero versus splitting shards across several season awakenings.
